Our mission is to make dental care accessible to the disabled, homebound, and elderly. We bring dental hygiene services to you in order to help you maintain a beautiful and healthy smile. Busy Bee hygienists are specially trained to work with patients dealing with complex medical conditions.

What is a RDHAP?
A Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice is a specifically trained, educated and licensed dental professional who is able to provide dental hygiene services to those individuals who have limited access to dental care in a traditional dental office setting.
An RDHAP is able to have their own mobile dental office setting.
Since 2017 Busy Bee Dental Hygiene has been able to provide services to nursing homes, residential care facilities and private homes within San Francisco & Marin county.
Busy Bee Dental Hygiene also has business licenses within these counties.

In order to ensure the safety of the patient as well as the clinician we wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

In addition to clinicians are tested bi-weekly for COVID-19 virus and also upon request. Results can be emailed or sent via text.
All instruments are individually prepared & packaged as well as sterilized to kill any bacteria & viruses.
Single use & Disposable items are: low & high suctions, air/water tips, fluoride varnishes, coronal polish heads, polish paste, floss and brushes.
Working area is disinfected with Sani-wipes that kill TB, MRSA, VRE, HIV-1, HSV-2, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella cholerasuis, Psedudomonas aeruginosa, influenza A2 and E. coli.
MEET MAYA
Maya is the owner and operator of Busy Bee Dental Hygiene. Born and raised in San Francisco she's a graduate of San Francisco State University with a double major in Chemistry and Biology.
In 2013 she graduated from the dental hygiene program at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of University of Southern California.
In 2016 she completed the RDHAP program from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry of University of the Pacific with an advanced degree and license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice.
She started Busy Bee Dental Hygiene in 2017.
Currently she is a very busy bee running her business, working for two different dental practices, being a new mom to her adorable daughter, cooking, practicing yoga, riding her Peloton and going on family walks around SF with her newborn, husband & two fur babies.
